So you want to rush Alpha Phi Omega?
Delta Sigma holds a pledge period during most fall and spring semesters. Our typical pledge period runs for about eight weeks, during these eight weeks pledges learn the history of the Alpha Phi Omega. The pledge period is a great way for both the brothers and the new pledges get aquatinted, and show the pledges what Alpha Phi Omega’s brotherhood is all about. Pledges have requirements that need to be fulfilled to gain membership into the fraternity.
Requirements include*:
- Obtain the signatures of all active brothers and necessary advisors
- Wear the official Pledge Pin
- Maintain an 80 average on quizzes
- Attend 2 fellowships
- Complete 15 hours of service during pledge and 5 hours before the end of the semester
- Complete APO LEADS Launch or Launch Online
- Plan a pledge class service project and fellowship
- Make a big brother board for your big brother
- Plan a fellowship or service project with your big brother
- Attend all pledge class meetings and chapter meetings
- Serve on a committee or hold a pledge class Eboard position
- Attend an alcohol awareness workshop
